New campus of Xifeng's middle school put into use

The relocation of Heishenmiao Middle School and the inauguration ceremony of Xifeng County No 3 Middle School were held in Xifeng county on Oct 9. Over 1,300 students entered their new campus, marking a fresh start for the school community.

The opening of the new school signifies a new stage in the quality development of education in Xifeng county, aiming to build a modern, elegant, and intelligent campus that combines simplicity with vitality.

Formerly known as Heishenmiao Middle School and founded in 1980, Xifeng County No 3 Middle School is located in Shangzhai village, Xiaozhaiba town, surrounded by Nanwang Mountain and the Sichuan-Guizhou Railway and connected to National Highway 210 and the Lanzhou-Haikou Expressway (Guiyang–Zunyi section). The campus enjoys an excellent location and convenient transportation connections.

With a total investment of 198 million yuan ($27.77 million), the school covers 75,000 square meters with a construction area of 52,000 sq m, providing 1,800 junior middle school places. Currently, it offers 27 teaching classes, with more than 1,300 students and 89 teachers, reflecting significant improvements in both educational conditions and overall scale.

The new campus features well-equipped and diverse facilities, including teaching, office, and laboratory buildings, a library, an academic lecture hall, a gymnasium, a canteen, and dormitories for both teachers and students. It is also equipped with multimedia teaching systems, a standard athletics field, and basketball courts, providing an excellent learning and living environment for teachers and students alike.
