Xifeng hosts Xiwang Mountain Trail Running Challenge

The seventh Xiwang Mountain Trail Running Challenge, part of the 2025 "Run Guizhou" series, was held in Luwo village, Xishan town, Xifeng county, on Sept 14. The event attracted 1,135 trail running enthusiasts from across China.

This year's race featured four distances: 42 kilometers, 28 km, 16 km, and 4 km.

"I brought my child here to experience trail running because I want to instill in him a spirit of perseverance and the courage to face challenges through sports," said Liang Zhengping, a participant from Guiyang, after completing the 4-km race with her family.

Launched in 2016, the "Run Guizhou" mountain running series has become a signature sports brand in Guizhou and a key event for Xifeng county. It was also the first trail running race in the province to earn certification points from the International Trail Running Association.
