The tour features four main sections: electromagnetism, the rhythms of motion, automotive principles, and mechanical rhythms, with more than 50 interactive exhibits on display.
Visitors can enjoy hands-on engagement with the exhibits under the guidance of staff members, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm. A combination transmission device of internal spherical gear and external spherical gear in the "mechanical rhythms" section is attracting many participants, providing a vivid understanding of mechanical principles by observing the coordination of gears and belts.
A quiz with prizes was also held on the tour's first day. "This activity gave us a close-up experience with high-tech exhibits and taught us things beyond textbooks. It was really fun!" said Yang Sixu, a sixth-grade student from Yunhuan Primary School in Xifeng.
According to Song Wei, vice-chairman of the Xifeng Association for Science and Technology, the mobile exhibition is a major initiative by the China Association for Science and Technology to expand access to science education and promote scientific literacy among the public, especially students.
The exhibition will run from July 30 to Sept 30 and is open daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
