Xifeng helps enterprise benefit from tax refunds

The tax service office of Xifeng county, Guiyang, under the State Taxation Administration, recently started providing targeted and proactive services to support local green development. By helping a local enterprise tap into value-added tax (VAT) refund policies for comprehensive resource utilization, the office boosted confidence in sustainable industrial transformation.

Guizhou Jiezhongsen Building Materials Co, a low-carbon, eco-friendly company specializing in the comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum, encountered difficulties in understanding and applying for VAT refunds under China's "levy now, refund later" policy. In response, the Xifeng tax bureau quickly formed a "tax steward" service team to offer hands-on, face-to-face policy guidance.

Tax officials translated complex regulations into practical case studies and clearly explained key aspects such as policy applicability, refund procedures, and document requirements. They also visited the production lines and warehouses to understand the company's operations and provided on-site advice tailored to real-time data and tax issues raised by the enterprise.

Thanks to full-process support, the company was able to successfully complete its refund application and received nearly 300,000 yuan (41,830) in VAT rebates. "The tax officials have been our best advisors," said He Ling, the company's financial director. "Their precise guidance helped us overcome every challenge. We plan to reinvest the refund into new technological R&D to further enhance our resource utilization capabilities and drive greener growth."
