Village in Xifeng celebrates Dragon Boat Festival

An engaging cultural celebration is set to unfold from May 29 to 30 at Yuge Square in Laowo village, Xifeng county, in preparation for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival on May 31.

The "Our Festival: Dragon Boat Festival 2025" and "Golden Summer: Loquat Harvest Fest" will offer visitors a unique festive experience. Highlights include an opening ceremony, traditional performances, and music and dance shows.

Traditional experiences, such as sachet-making, tying five-colored thread, and bundling wormwood, will be held on May 30, alongside loquat tasting and a local agricultural product fair, which will highlight the region's distinctive produce.

A fishing competition will also be held on May 30 at a pond opposite Jiangshengyuan Ecological Agriculture Co, adding even more charm to the celebrations.
