At the Xifeng High-Speed Railway Station Square, three interactive zones drew crowds. In the "10-second sorting challenge" activity, participants had to correctly sort 10 waste items in 10 seconds to win a prize. "It was fun and educational. My child had a great time and learned a lot," said one resident.
The family-based "Eco Board Game" was also a hit, requiring teamwork to answer questions and progress. Nearby, the "Quiz Wheel" challenged participants with questions of varying difficulty, drawing many to join in.
At Xiwangcheng Community, sanitation workers demonstrated the waste collection process, including scanning, weighing, data uploading, and transportation, providing residents with a clear understanding of the post-sorting procedures.
A special "Recyclables for Gifts" station allowed residents to exchange cardboard and plastic bottles for eggs – one egg per pound, and up to 10 eggs per person.
"In recent years, Xifeng has focused on full-cycle waste management," said a local official. Since 2023, the county has built 43 collection stations and installed 10 smart AI sorting devices.
