Xifeng prepares four themed getaways for May Day holiday

This May Day holiday from May 1 to 5, Xifeng county will offer four themed travel experiences combining culture, leisure, and rural charm.

The red education tour will take visitors through revolutionary history. Stops include the Xifeng Concentration Camp Revolutionary Memorial, with live historical performances; the Guiyang Party School's Xifeng Education Base, hosting a special "May Day meets Nurses' Day" team-building event; Maodong village with a model red-themed community; and the scenic Wujiang Gorge, perfect for red tourism and camping.

The hot spring tour will include the Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring's "Splash & Beats" Festival 2.0, a lively event featuring music and a chance to play in the water. Nearby, Nanshan Brick World is hosting the second season of its magical circus show, while the Nanshan Post Station and Wind Listening Tower offer great spots for photography and outdoor camping.

The rural harvest tour will include Youjian Nanshan homestay for hands-on farm experiences and nature craft workshops. Visitors can enjoy cherry and strawberry picking in Luwo, Liuchang, and Yanglongsi towns.

The intangible heritage experience tour will highlight Qingshan Miao people's Siyueba Festival, local homestays offering wellness and handicraft workshops, flower lantern shows in Liuchang town, and countryside camping at Youjian Wujiang homestay.
