The Xiaozhaiba Agriculture-Photovoltaic Power Station in Xifeng county, Guiyang, is embracing early spring's abundant sunlight for photovoltaic power generation.

As Guiyang's first and largest integrated agrivoltaic energy project, the station generates an average of 125.98 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy annually, reducing standard coal consumption by 34,200 metric tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 103,200 tons.

By promoting the integrated model of "photovoltaic power generation + Chinese medicinal herb cultivation", the base cultivated its first batch of 100,000 seedlings last year. It distributed them to 13 agrivoltaic planting sites across the province, covering nearly 20,000 mu (1,333 hectares). This model can generate over 20,000 yuan ($2,738) per mu of land beneath the solar panels.
