During the three-day Qingming Festival holiday, Xifeng county experienced a surge in spring tourism. Preliminary estimates show the county received a total of 214,678 tourists, generating 108.92 million yuan ($14.88 million) in tourism revenue – a year-on-year increase of 8.09 percent.
"Coming here feels like taking a spring outing," said a regular visitor from Zunyi to Xifeng Nanshan Tianmu Hot Springs. She and her family took advantage of the holiday to return for another relaxing experience.
Nestled next to the Nanshan State-owned Forest Farm, the Nanshan Tianmu Hot Springs Resort blends seamlessly with the surrounding mountains, offering breathtaking scenery.
According to the resort's manager, rooms were 94-percent booked on the first day of the holiday, with over 1,000 visitors enjoying the hot springs that day alone. Here, visitors can unwind and rejuvenate in the therapeutic waters while capturing stunning photos that reflect the harmony between nature and culture.
Ahead of the holiday, Xifeng launched three red tourism routes that integrate revolutionary history with natural beauty and folk experiences. Two of the routes feature the Wujiang River Gorge, making a uniquely located homestay with panoramic views of the gorge one of the top destinations in the county's growing homestay economy.
