Xifeng launches lantern riddle activity

The 16th Chinese New Year Lantern Riddle Activity started on Feb 9 at the Xifeng Culture Center, bringing a strong cultural atmosphere to Spring Festival. With the tagline "promoting traditional culture and spreading modern civilization", it has attracted many participants.

At the event, 300 red lanterns decorated the culture center square. Around the square, lantern riddles involving history, culture, technology, and daily life swayed in the wind. People walked between the lanterns, talking amongst each other, pondering each riddle, and occasionally hearing bursts of laughter and joy.

According to Yuan Muzhi, deputy director of the Xifeng Culture Center, the purpose of the event is to enrich public cultural life during the Spring Festival holiday, enhance the entertainment value of the festival, and better preserve traditional Chinese culture.

The activity will last four days, with about 800 riddles set up every day. To ensure the event remains engaging, riddles that have been solved will be quickly marked. Those who solve the riddles can exchange the corresponding prizes with the issued vouchers.
