Xifeng county's cultural tourism market got off to a strong start during the Spring Festival holiday. From Jan 28 to Feb 4, Xifeng received over 350,500 tourists and generated over 203 million yuan ($28 million) in tourism revenue, increases of 15.12 percent and 14.88 percent year-on-year, respectively.
The Xifeng Concentration Camp Revolutionary Historical Museum received a total of 30,885 visitors. On the fourth day of Chinese New Year, the exhibition "Endless Flames" was unveiled at the museum and has enlivened the atmosphere of Spring Festival.
Xifeng Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring received 16,605 visitors, who brought in 2.86 million yuan, increases of 42.79 percent and 74.7 percent, respectively. "The environment is great, and Chinese New Year atmosphere is intriguing. The overall experience is amazing," said Ma Dingran, a tourist from Datong, Shanxi province.

As night fell, the lights of the Nanshan Block World in Xifeng shone brightly. The scenic area hosted interactive intangible cultural heritage experiences such as dough figure making and paper cutting, offering a unique Spring Festival feast for tourists.
Short-term tours to Xifeng became popular during the holidays, and many tourists chose to visit the countryside and enjoy a slower pace of life. They immersed themselves in rural cuisine and picturesque scenery, trying to satiate the deep nostalgia in their hearts.
