Xifeng welcomes National Day with grand square dance competition

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Xifeng county in Guiyang held the 2024 Public Square Dance Competition at its first-floor theater of the publicity and cultural activity center on Sept 26.

A total of 21 teams from various townships, offices, and enterprises participated in the competition. Teams competed by performing both compulsory and optional dances, with the compulsory dances choreographed to six original songs from Xifeng.

As the music played, teams took the stage one by one, with participants showing great enthusiasm, demonstrating a healthy, optimistic, and enterprising spirit through their energetic performances and exquisite dance moves.

"I feel fortunate to participate in this competition and hope to use it to wish the best for our motherland," said dance participant Wang Lifang, expressing wishes for the prosperity and stability of the country as the National Day approaches.

After intense competition, the team from the county's publicity and cultural department won the first prize, while teams from the government, political and legal department, and education department received the second prize. Five teams from the Party system, finance department, health department, Wenquan town, and Jiuzhuang town were awarded the third prize.

The event was guided by the Guiyang Mass Art Center and organized by the Xifeng county's new era civilization practice center.
