Cabbage expands villagers' pockets

Shanlin village in Xifeng county has recently been harvesting cabbage, which is expected to bring in a lot of money for local villagers.

"We have invited agricultural experts to provide technical guidance at the village's plantation, resulting in a bountiful harvest of cabbage with tight leaves, ample moisture, and a sweet taste," said He Yungui, the legal representative of the Xifeng Jiuzhu Vegetable Planting Professional Cooperative.

He explained that this year, the cooperative has been continuously improving cultivation techniques for cabbage and strengthening scientific management. This year, the output value of the village's 120 mu (8 hectares) of cabbage is expected to reach 760,000 yuan ($104,880).

Throughout the cabbage cultivation process, the plantation has created a great number of jobs for villagers, alleviating employment issues and increasing incomes.
