Holiday fuels Xifeng tourism

During the just-concluded eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, Xifeng county in Guiyang received 403,652 visits, generating tourism revenue of 209.45 million yuan ($28.72 million), both indexes up over 20 percent from pre-pandemic 2019 levels.

Before the holiday, Xifeng conducted a comprehensive inspection of scenic spots, hotels, and travel agencies within its jurisdiction, while actively disseminating knowledge about market order and safety to businesses.

During the holiday, the county deployed a total of 205 inspection personnel, inspecting two A-level tourist attractions, two rural tourist spots, three hot spring resorts, three travel agencies, 10 travel agency branches, one star-rated hotel, and four high-quality summer vacation hotels, as well as hotels, inns and homestays more than 561 times.

These efforts were made to ensure order in the county's tourism market and provide a safe environment for tourists.

In order to attract tourists, the county held 17 activities in key local scenic spots. The county's popular attractions, such as Nanshan Block World and Nanshan Tianmu Hot Spring, received more than 4,000 visits on an average every day over the holiday.
