On the afternoon of May 19, the overall image of the factory, as well as real-time information on energy analysis and security monitoring, were all shown on a massive screen of the digital twin smart factory invested in by Guiyang Kailin Fertilizer Co, which is owned by Guizhou Phosphating (Group) Co.
"We can collect and analyze all the real-time data produced during the product production, transportation, and other processes," said Dai Xingming, deputy chief equipment engineer of the company.
In March 2022, Guiyang Kailin Fertilizer Co invested nearly 10 million yuan ($1.44 million) in the digital twin innovative factory project, which established a virtual model precisely based on a genuine factory, employing industrial information platforms, digital twin, and other technologies.
"Digital twin smart factories can save a large amount of costs for enterprise," said Dai. So far, the factory has entered the trial run stage and is expected to bring more than 6 million yuan annually for the company.
