Xifeng works to enhance vegetable supply capacity

In 2019, in the wake of the structural reform of Guiyang's agriculture supply chain, Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has relocated the land resources of 10 villages in Shidong town, and formed the county's first high-standard vegetable growing and supply base.

The base is focused on planting both vegetables and edible fungi. In 2022, the base reported 5,000 metric tons in vegetable and fungi output, which was worth 20 million yuan (2.9 million).

In recent years, the county has rolled out policies to encourage rural households to transfer their land for large-scale agricultural use. It has also cultivated 179 agriculture companies, cooperatives and family farms.

In addition, a total of 5 million yuan has been spent by the government to build machine plowing roads, drought-resistant pools and other necessary agricultural infrastructure.
