In Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, the gastroenterology department of the health center in Liuchang town, the hepatology department of the health center in Shidong town, and the acupuncture and massage department of the health center in Xiaozhaiba town are all known for their excellent medical skills and services.

In recent years, the county has encouraged grass-roots health centers to develop special departments to address problems such as incomplete rural medical facilities, the shortage of medical staff members, and the lack of medicine reserves.

To combat these issues and better equip medical staff members, 50 rural doctors and five traditional Chinese medicine practitioners were selected to take part in the seven-day medical training activity.

In 2022, the county's outpatient rate rose from 90.2 percent to 96.4 percent, up 6.2 percentage points. The number of inpatients reached 6,386, indicating an increase of 39.55 percent. Additionally, the county's medical revenue reached 7.26 million yuan, an increase of 46.93 percent.
