Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has taken measures to increase the operating incomes of local farmers.
The government has revamped efforts to bring in projects and make use of funds for rural vitalization. In 2022, Xifeng's output in agriculture, forestry, husbandry and fishery reached 4.73 billion yuan ($690.1 million), up 4.7 percent, and the combined sales revenue of all market entities stood at 750 million yuan.
The "agriculture + tourism" business model will be further promoted. Xifeng will also speed up the rural homestay and rural tourism operator ranking process. Last year, a total of 53 homestays and operators were authorized, creating over 130 jobs.
Farmers will be provided with professional consultations on the use and maintenance of agricultural machinery.
In 2022, Xifeng registered 79 agricultural product processing enterprises with the sales revenue of more than 500,000 yuan, which have an estimated output of 9.83 billion yuan.
