Job fair offers over 7,000 positions

A job fair kicked off on Feb 5 in Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, with a total of 7,000 positions on offer.

Booths for office clerks, electricians and salespersons are crowded with people eager to learn more about the positions' welfare programs and workforce environment. Job seekers talked with recruiters face to face and signed letters of intent to work.

"There are many jobs on offer at the fair, and recruiters come from inside and outside Guizhou province," said He Gang, who used to be a salesman in Zhejiang province.

The job fair also provided employment and entrepreneurship consultation services to migrant workers who have returned to their hometowns.

The event attracted more than 8,000 job seekers, with about 1,000 of them having signed intent to work agreements, according to preliminary statistics.
