Renewed community praised by residents

"The houses here used to be shabby, the roads were bumpy, and everywhere was a mess. Now all of these problems have been fixed, the community's environment has improved a lot," said Liu Guoyun, a resident of Hongxiang Garden community in Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The outsides of the residential buildings have been renovated, and more parking spaces and green spaces have been added. The small plaza inside the community has become a gathering place where people chat and exercise.

Since last year, Xifeng has been dedicated to building more 15-minute living circles, upgrading farm produce markets, increasing the number of public parking lots, and renovating shanty towns, old residential areas and streets. The government plans to construct three 15-minute living circles, which would include Hongxiang Garden community.

Primary schools, medical centers, multi-purpose playgrounds, elderly care centers, kindergartens, parking lots, farm produce markets and other infrastructure have been put in place to make life more convenient for locals.
