In the first half of 2022, the branches of the medical consortium of Xifeng county, Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, registered year-on-year increases of 19.43 percent, 121.85 percent and 53.94 percent in patient number, inpatient number, and medical revenue, according to news from the county's health bureau on Aug 11.

Xifeng has been focusing on medical system reform by optimizing medical resource distribution and improving medical service efficiency, and has established special departments for common diseases in branches of its medical consortium.

The branch in Shidong town has completed oxygen supply facilities and added over 20 special drugs. The branch in Xiaozhaiba town offers acupuncture, acupoint massage, and other traditional Chinese medical services to patients in need.

Unified management in administrative affairs, finance, personnel flow, businesses, medical equipment and employee performance has been implemented within the consortium. For example, medical workers are assigned to accept job rotations, and grassroots medical staff members are arranged to take part in training sessions held by medical institutions at higher levels.

So far, two leading hospitals of the consortium have set up a one-stop outpatient service center, which enables outpatients to make appointments and pay medical bills through mobile devices.
