Systematic plans guide rural governance

The five aspects of rural governance are the improvement of houses, water quality, refuse, toilets, and living standards, involving the reconstruction of building facades, treatment of water pollution and installation of sanitary facilities.

The Xifeng government has worked out systematic plans to guide rural governance. Officials have been urged to find out what a village has, what it lacks, and what it needs, and study detailed information about each rural household.

Publicity is another part of the government's rural governance work. Posters informing people of specific waste classification measures have been placed on the doors of every household. The information is generally conveyed through short poems or slogans that are easy to remember.

To date, such posters have been placed on the doors of 63,000 rural households.
