Xifeng County in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has taken problem-oriented approaches to carry out the pandemic prevention and control measures, and guide local enterprises to resume operation after the seven-day Spring Festival holiday.

Work plans to resume operations have been issued by the government for international enterprises above a designated size – those with annual revenue of 20 million ($3.1 million) or more – as well as for major projects launched during the first quarter of the year.

The county's industry and information technology bureau has assigned each local company above a designated size to a specific official. This is expected to assist with the operations and work resumption policies at the group they are assigned to – and to date 27 related problems have been identified.

Furthermore, Xifeng's development and reform commission has established a special supervision team for the resumption of work, with team members visiting key programs and projects in the county to learn about the latest situation.

The agriculture and rural affairs bureau of Xifeng county also launched a campaign on the quality regulations for agricultural products, along with its other work in animal disease prevention and control and the establishment of high-quality farmland.

By Feb 8, it was estimated that 31 of all the industrial enterprises in Xifeng had resumed operations.
