Statistics show that by the end of Dec 15, Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province had employed an additional 8,946 people. In addition, 7,012 rural laborers successfully found work.
The government's to-do list involves 34 welfare items, and 710 practical matters of common concern have been addressed.
In order to prevent local residents from slipping back into poverty, the Xifeng government has selected 1,083 personnel to serve as eco rangers, launched professional training programs for 6,824 people, organized 23 online and offline job fairs, and offered public welfare positions to 665 people.
