A county-level conference was held recently in Xifeng, Southwest China's Guizhou province, in which the county's achievements in economy, poverty reduction, welfare, reforms, ecosystem protection, social governance, and Party construction were discussed.
Over the past five years, the county's economy continued to push forward, with annual GDP growth hitting 8.3 percent, and in 2020 it came in at 9.8 percent, ranking first in Guiyang.
A total of 46 major projects have been completed in the county, which has also introduced 54 investment programs involving 13.53 billion yuan ($2.03 billion). Xifeng registered an annual increase of 10.5 percent in fixed asset investment over the same period. In 2020, the county's tourism revenue was valued at 10.32 billion yuan, exceeding 10 billion yuan for the first time.
Meanwhile, the 12 State-level impoverished villages and 2,546 impoverished households in the county have all risen from poverty. A total of 368 rural households have been relocated to urban areas, and 40 shanty town renovation projects have been completed.
