Xifeng county in Southwest China's Guizhou province recently launched a special campaign to improve its power supply system.

Relevant government departments are required to implement procedures to become new registered power users, time limits, charging standards, and other policy information in a timely manner to ensure the transparency of the electricity business.

Low-voltage residents applying for the power service must be able to access electricity within three days, and non-resident customers should have access within seven days. Meanwhile, the government promotes online and door-to-door services for newly registered power users.

Authorities have banned all kinds of charging fees for regular electricity operations, completed regulation mechanisms, and made more efforts to supervise illegal charging through systematic screening and customer visits. To date, no such activities have been carried out in the county.
