Xifeng county in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has worked out a plan to advance rural reforms in Xiaozhaiba town.

Efforts to build pastoral complexes in the town will be stepped up. For instance, the Hongrang Bizhu Pastoral Complex is one of 100 highly-efficient provincial agricultural demonstration zones and involves 38 village groups of five villages in the town. Farmers in the zone earn an average of 15,000 yuan ($2,250) per year by working or pooling land and capital as shares.

The development of special fruit businesses, especially the grape, kigelia africana, roxburgh, kiwi fruit, and plum businesses, will be granted due attention.

The government will also focus on completing the livestock and poultry breeding infrastructure, in order to boost productivity.
