In order to celebrate the 111th International Women's Day, female leaders in Yanglongsi town, Xifeng county, visited Baozi village, which is thought to be the cradle of "Banbiantian culture" ("Banbiantian" in Chinese means that half of the social development and progress are made by women), according to local media reports on March 2.
Xifeng is a county in Guiyang, capital city in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Baozi village is considered the first village in China to advocate gender equality and equal pay for equal work. Banbiantian exhibition hall consists of eight areas and illustrates how women in China were liberated from the clichés about women prevailing in ancient China.
Female leaders also participated in outdoor activities such as mountain climbing and rope skipping.
