Guizhou Xiyang Industrial Co in Xifeng county -- in Southwest China's Guizhou province -- has fully started production to ensure it meets fertilizer demand for spring ploughing during the epidemic prevention and control period, according to local officials.
With 188 workers working in three shifts and six production lines operating at full capacity 24 hours a day, the company's compound fertilizer plant recorded daily output of more than 2,300 tons of fertilizer during the Spring Festival.
At present, more than 1,000 cadres and workers in the company have all restarted their work and the daily production of chemical fertilizer has been increased to more than 3,000 tons.
On average, about 2,000 tons of chemical fertilizer transported by 30 trains and 1,800 tons of chemical fertilizer shipped by 80 heavy trucks are sold across the country every day.
Meanwhile, the company has promised farmers that it won't raise prices, will not stock up on inventory, or limit sales -- and will keep selling goods.
Additionally, the company promised to give a discount of 50 yuan ($7.08) per ton of fertilizer from Feb 25 to the end of the spring tillage period.
