A ceremony marking the start of construction work on a five-star hotel was held at Xifeng county in Guiyang, capital of southwestern Guizhou province on Nov 14.
The construction project covers an area of 2 hectares, with a total construction area of over 107,000 square meters.
It is part of a comprehensive real estate project in the county integrating five-star hotels, high-end residential quarters and retail shops.
According to the person in charge of the project, the new five-star hotel that has broken ground will integrate large-scale businesses, conferences, accommodation, catering, entertainment and leisure.
On completion, it will be a hotel featuring more than 300 rooms and several conference rooms of different specifications.
In addition, it will have Chinese and Western restaurants including large and small banquet halls, which can meet the various needs of business, conferences and wedding banquets.
